Beauty

BB Cream, Sunscreen, Blush, Lip Balm

Spring might be around the corner but I already have summer on the brain.  With summer vacations, BBQs and sun just around the bend I've already started testing some new product hopefuls and replenishing my stock of tried and true loves.  The last thing I want to do when going on vacation is over pack my beauty bag and hassle with a lot of products.

Colorescience Mineral sunscreen is one of the new products I've been working into my routine. Its quickly becoming one of my favorite products and I don't know how I lived without it for so long.  As I've gotten older protecting my skin has become a higher priority and this product works perfectly into my busy day. Reapplying liquid sunscreen after a few hours of wearing your makeup is a major pain but with this mineral sunscreen I can apply on the go, with their fabulous brush application, and keep the sun protection going all day. I've also started using a SPF lip balm by Banana Boat. I'm honestly surprised that lipsticks don't come with SPF , so I use this lip balm before applying or reapplying my lipsticks.  I love each product so much that I keep them in my handbag with me at all times. They go with me everywhere and apply easily while sitting at a red light :)  Finally I'm trying out a new self tanner, the St. Tropez Self Tan Express Bronzing Mousse, because skin damage is sooo last decade. I'm scared of turning out like an oompa loompa but I've heard such good things about this Allure Beauty winner that I just have to try it.  If you see me on snapchat or IG and I'm a little less pale this is probably the culprit.

I also recently restocked my favorite pink blushes and lip colors. A few of my favorite products are this Nars Blush in Orgasm and this Too Faced compact. This all in one compact is great for busy women and travelers. It fits perfectly in your purse or carryon and doesn't take up a lot of space like the five products it replaces.

The newest addition to my nail polish collection is this Lauren B Nude #2 polish.  I saw it when I was traveling in Amsterdam and after a few months of thought (yes months, I take polish very seriously lol) I purchased it and four other nude shades. They have the most perfect nude shades I've ever applied and there is a shade for every skin tone. A little pricey for polish but the results are fabulous and its vegan! I've started wearing more nude colors on my nails recently. I find that the color just suits my skin, doesn't clash with whatever I'm wearing and those little chips you get are easily hidden because the polish color is so close to my actual skin tone. I highly recommend checking the brand out.
Until next time,
xoxo

  5. That mineral suncream is such a great idea - I hate the feeling of normal stuff on my face so I tend to just use moisturiser with SPF in it which doesn't work as well as the proper stuff. Will definitely have a look at that one.
