Favorite Things

Spring is right around the corner! Shorter skirts, tank tops, sandal heels and flips flops. But my skin and hair are not Spring ready. This Winter has been especially brutal and it shows. So I pulled out some of my favorite Spring beauty products early to help combat the dryness.

A good body scrub is a must when it comes to helping prep your skin for Spring. I love the SheaMoisture one pictured. The scent is intoxicating and the coconut oil formula leaves my skin feeling hydrated and non greasy. You could leave your skin as is or add an additional layer of moisture on top if you need a little extra hydration.
I'm always wearing sandals in the Spring so my feet are on display. Nothing worse than cracked dry heels when you want to show off those stunning new pair of heels. So I rely on my Essie Spa products to save the day. I love all things Essie. They are my preferred pedicure and manicure brand. Their So Sole Good foot scrub is divine. With little beads that gently exfoliate, my feet feel fabulous after a soak. Have really dry heels? I use a foot file with this scrub and achieve great results.
I follow up with my favorite Nivea lotion. I absolutely love this stuff and have 5 or 6 of the travel size tubs laying around - like in my car, my gym bag, purse, in my desk at work, in the bathroom and next to the bed. It goes everywhere with me. A little bit goes a long way so the travel tubs really are a great deal. This stuff is a miracle worker on dry rough patches like elbows and heels of feet.
When my face and hair need a little extra love I always turn to the tried and true products in my shower. Hair feeling dull and frizzy? I slap on this creamy OGX hair mask, twist my hair up into a bun and let it sit for about 5 mins. During that time I turn my attention to my face. When my face starts breaking out or just looks dull I give it a boost with one of my all time favorite products, Olay's Microdermabrasion & Peel kit. This kit is my hands down favorite. I recommend it to everyone and I have been using it for more than 5 years. Its a two step process that is super easy, two minutes of scrub followed by a two minute mini peel. I use this kit once a week and not only does it clear my face but I also get this lush healthy glow after each use. For added scrubbing power I'll use my Olay's Spin Brush with the kit.
To keep the glow going I add a bead or two of a new product I've been loving, Olay's Micro Sculpting Serum. It helps lock in the moisture from the shower and makes my night cream go farther. My skin stays super hydrated all day. Love it.
Next day I add a little extra glow with the Nars Paloma Contour Blush. A quick swipe of highlighter here and golden contour there and I'm out the door, fresh faced with natural healthy looking color.

Stay beautiful my friends.
xoxo
